LHIN Community Collaboration Meeting - February 2013
Following the 2012 Muskoka Leadership Summit in October, a need was identified to reach out further to community partners to share information and solicit help in developing a framework for more community collaboration in social and community services.
Some interesting questions were developed:
- What are we prepared to do collectively to bring about the best case scenario for sustainability for each of our individual organizations for the greater good of Muskoka?
- How do we get the right infrastructure in place so that the best programs and services will be delivered by the most appropriate organization(s) to successfully meet the needs of our population in Muskoka?
To help provide background and context to these questions, and to provoke discussion and collaboration, the following presentation was developed and delivered at the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN meeting on February 12, 2013. This was one of a series of community collaboration meetings the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN hosted in January / February 2013.Click here to link to the presentation delivered by Rick Williams (Community Services, District Municipality of Muskoka), Marty Rutledge (Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka), Colleen Nisbet (Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit) and Cheryl Faber (North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network).
