When we lose a loved one, we might need a little extra support. Hospice Muskoka is a community based volunteer organization that serves the emotional and social needs of individuals of all ages who are facing a life-threatening illness. Hospice Muskoka embodies the spirit of 'living in comfort and dignity and hope'.
Hospice Muskoka was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit charity and has been serving the residents of South Muskoka ever since. Specially trained visiting volunteers provide non-medical, supportive care with a focus on the emotional and social needs of the client base at home, in hospital, in seniors’ residences and nursing homes in the Towns of Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and in the Township of Muskoka Lakes.
Anyone may call for information or assistance. An assessment is done to learn what your needs are and how we can help. Hospice Muskoka will arrange a volunteer visitor, keeping in mind the needs and preferences of the person referred. There is no fee for this service.
Hospice Huntsville provides care and support to individuals in the Huntsville area who are facing end of life situations. This care and support is also extended to their families and caregivers and is provided in the setting of their choice.
Our professionally trained volunteers provide these individuals with compassionate care so that they may live out their lives with dignity and comfort either at our new residential hospice, at home or in a health care setting.
Hospice Huntsville is a not for profit registered charitable organization that was incorporated in 1989. It is primarily funded by in memoriam donations, voluntary donations, planned giving, churches, service clubs, fundraising events/activities and partial government funding.
All services and programs of Hospice Huntsville are completely free of charge to those we serve and their families.
